On 21 May, Mikrosam had the pleasure of welcoming 50 professors and researchers from eight countries as part of the international GETM4 – Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management 4 project.
The delegation visited Mikrosam’s factory in Prilep to learn more about the company’s work, technologies, and long-standing experience in advanced composite manufacturing. During the visit, guests saw how Mikrosam develops innovative machines and complete production solutions used by customers around the world.
For Mikrosam, the visit was more than a factory tour. It was an opportunity to open its doors to the international academic community, exchange ideas, and show how knowledge, engineering, and dedication can grow into globally recognized industrial innovation.
“We were honored to welcome the GETM4 delegation to Mikrosam and to present the innovation, engineering knowledge, and dedication that have shaped our company for more than three decades. For us, innovation is not only about advanced machines and technologies; it is about people, talent, persistence, and the ability to transform ideas into industrial solutions used worldwide. We believe that connecting academia and industry is essential for developing the next generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, and innovators,” said Samoil Samak, Vice President at Mikrosam.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to Mikrosam’s technologies, including filament winding, automated tape placement, towpreg production, prepreg equipment, and other advanced solutions for the composites industry.
Mikrosam’s technologies are used in industries where materials need to be lighter, stronger, and more reliable – from aerospace and hydrogen storage to automotive, marine, energy and defense. By helping manufacturers produce high-performance composite parts with greater precision and automation, Mikrosam supports industries that are shaping the future of clean mobility, safe storage systems, and advanced manufacturing.
The discussions also touched on Mikrosam’s international projects, its role in supporting high-tech industries, and the importance of developing talent that can respond to the needs of a fast-changing world.
The GETM4 project brings together universities, researchers, and partners from different parts of the world to explore entrepreneurial talent, responsible digital innovation, resilience, and sustainable development. Its mission strongly connects with the idea that future progress depends not only on technology, but also on people – their skills, creativity, and ability to work across disciplines and cultures.
“This visit showed how important it is to connect academic knowledge with real industrial practice. Mikrosam is a valuable example of a company from North Macedonia that has grown through innovation, expertise, and international vision. For the GETM4 community, it was inspiring to see how entrepreneurial thinking and advanced technology can create impact far beyond national borders,” said Prof. Ljupcho Eftimov, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Economics – Skopje.

Prof. Ezeni Brzovska also shared her personal connection with Mikrosam, recalling the company as the place where she began her professional career.
“Returning to Mikrosam carries a special meaning for me, because it is the place where I began my professional journey. My first employment at Mikrosam gave me valuable experience, professional discipline and inspiration that strongly influenced my further development. Seeing today how the company has grown into an internationally recognized innovator makes this visit even more meaningful,” said Prof. Ezeni Brzovska, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Economics – Skopje.
The visit created space for meaningful conversations between Mikrosam’s team and the GETM4 delegation. It also highlighted the importance of cooperation between universities and companies in preparing future generations for the challenges of digital transformation, sustainability, and global competition.
By hosting the GETM4 delegation, Mikrosam once again confirmed its commitment to innovation, education and international collaboration. The visit was a proud moment for the company and a reminder that strong ideas, when supported by knowledge and teamwork, can travel far beyond the place where they begin.
